Culture, like its sibling Cult, in its original rootword means worship. The Rizal Culture exists. Jose Rizal is our Filipino Culture. Thus, the existence of Rizalista religion cults which for a matter of a century continue to carry on their unique varied interpretations of Rizal Culture, Rizal being Bathalang Ama. The word religion derives from religo meaning I bind fast or moor; and the belief that adheres to it; belief, basically means, belief, be dear, be lovable.

Rizal Culture in its totality captures a universal Ideology: MakaDiyos, MakaKalikasan, MakaTao, MakaBayan, in that order: The Four Pillars of Truth. The Rizal tenet brings with it the wholistic, meaning whole and holy, balanced, viewpoint of life for the universal man: The Filipino citizen of the world.

Always the professional Rizalistas ask the rhetorical question. Did Rizal fail in his task, in his life’s mission?Though redundant, this question can be answered in many ways, the answer is a big, resounding NO!

In the occult (hidden) teachings of the Jewish Kabbala there’s an aspect on the Anointed. The Anointed must make sense to us who have entered the third millennium and are facing New Realities. The Anointed is the messiah, the Promised One, the Savior, the Intended. He’s the Christ (it’s not a name, like Jesus, but a spiritual position of the greatest stature and authority: Godhood).

In each generation, in every era, there’s the Anointed, the Christ of his time. The emergence and appearance of a Christ is not restricted or exclusive to any one nation or people. To understand this fully is to continue with our story. This man we worship as Jesus Christ was one of the Anointed. Of his time, of his place. There were thousands of Christs the world over in his time unbeknownst to us. In his generation JC was the Jews’ Anointed.

JR is our Anointed; the Brown Christ  according to the Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno; the one chosen to be our Christ. Consider JR: how outstanding his achievements for one so young; the exemplar of the European man; education wellrounded; a polyglot (he knew 22 languages); grudgingly admired for his unusual brilliance--unbelievable in an Indio of his time—manysided gifts, being physican, poet, artist, scientist, thinker, raconteur, wit, novelist (his novels are to me still our best); and a nifty dresser, burning his candles at both ends (and not burning out) and succeeding in it. All that preceded is the Historical JR.

Comes now the Radical JR. The reformist. The right education for us he affirmed to be the best revolution over a bloody one. Education being the best political reform for it will birth the inherent remarkable qualities in us. He became the open enemy of the Church because he aimed to open the pandora’s box of the corruptions, immoral practices of the priests wielding their priestcraft. Few knew that he was Illuminati. An occult spiritual brotherhood.  He gave this visibility by turning Mason, for he practiced the tenet that there’s no God higher than the Truth. When still very young, JR already knew his destiny, his amor fati. He knew he was the Anointed, for he was the exceptional man (Austin Coates alludes to his supernatural origin in his biography of JR), that eventually the church through her priests will be up-in-arms against him. He knew they’ll cause his downfall, his disgrace to his people and nation, finally dying by rifle-fire a traitor to the venal interests of the Church. JR knew he possessed supernatural powers but hid them well (this is attested to and revealed by Alfonso Santos in his book Rizal Miracle Tales which points to the hidden Mystical Rizal that the native Rizalista knows about).

The Mystical JR that in the 21st century of our time is ripe for the telling. The Godman JR who told us what we were (in his formidable essay The Philippines A Century Hence) and foretold us our contemporary history (in his NOLI and FILI which are our current history’s blueprints along with a Third Novel (in the domain of the Mystical Rizal); and prophesied the destiny that awaits us.

JR’s third novel, hidden away for a century will emerge and appear in our generation. The Trial Of Santo Cristobal, we choose to call it, has only three contending characters: the People, the Government, the Church.

As I had written elsewhere, JR didn’t fail in his messianic mission: No. It was us who did. We haven’t taken umbrage in him, resorting to giving lip service to his teachings. It’s part and parcel of the Messiah to fail in his mission, seemingly fail. Priestcraft and politics closed many things to us. JR opened them.
He shows us the way, what lies ahead of us and the true spiritual destiny of Pilipinas. Read carefully and scrutinize well: The Philippines A Century Hence…”in order to know the destiny of a nation we must open the book of its past.” There he evolved for us a secular handbook of theology. So we must look to JR for the answers to the many, many WHYS infesting dreadfully our nation’s mind, body, spirit…today.

By emulating only the Western orientalists who offer us to read their works of falsifications, by believing them and rejecting JR’s teachings as a complete code of ethics of life, we keep ourselves ignorant of our real destiny as people and nation.  And what great destiny it is.

Now is the time: Cast away our blinkers. Now is the time to know the oversecularization of JR is depleting his teachings of their spiritual significance and truth. His teachings teach us everything. We must humble ourselves to accept and practice them; from Ethics to Governance; from Culture to Spirituality to Art and the New Science. The spectrum is wide and feasible. JR is Godman architect of our race and nation; Godman engineer of our most beautiful dreams and great visions. And JR is the first universal patriot—the only one— revered and venerated in such nations as Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Singapore, Mexico, Malaysia, even Spain, the stepmother of our Cinderella Pilipinas.
